The New Jersey School Boards Association held an intensive training weekend for school board leaders April 20 -22.

The weekend featured sessions such as “The Successful Board President;” “Keeping Your Board Focused on Student Achievement;” “Board President and Superintendent Relationships;” and “Winning Community Support.” The weekend also featured hands-on small group sessions, which were led by seasoned school board members who serve as trainers and share their expertise.

The entire weekend program was free to local boards of education, courtesy of a grant from the Educational Leadership Foundation of New Jersey, which received funding from Dell EMC and VMware for the weekend.
