Over the past several years, the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) has been growing its offerings of webinars, online training, podcasts, and other technology-based training, as an additional membership benefit. Using this technology allows NJSBA to bring training to a larger audience, offers more flexibility, and in many cases, allows members to learn on their own schedules.

Webinars NJSBA’s “At Your Service” webinar series, offered monthly, presents information on topics of critical importance to local boards of education and charter schools. Topics include school technology, labor relations, sustainability, alternative revenue, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), school district policy, education foundations, and more.

Over the past year, NJSBA has hosted 18 webinars, and more than 1,000 people have registered to attend. In 2017, NJSBA will expand the offering of webinars to include a shorter, half-hour “Lunch and Learn” webinar series, and a six-part sustainability webinar series, offering credit toward the Sustainable Jersey for Schools certification program.

NJSBA’s webinars air live to allow for interaction, but are also available to watch later online at any time. To find upcoming webinars or to watch archived programs, visit the website.
