Workshop 2014 – held Oct. 28-30 – was a rousing success: attendance was the highest it has been in five years, the Association’s financial benchmarks were met, and the feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive.

The theme, “Looking Back…Leaping Forward” was symbolic of the celebration of NJSBA’s 100th anniversary and the progress we have made (and continue to make) in New Jersey to create the best possible educational system for our children.

WORKSHOP TAKE TWO

NJSBA has had several requests to re-run some of the most popular programs from Workshop from attendees who were not able to attend all of the sessions they wanted. So on Saturday, Jan. 24, a new program, “Highlights from Workshop 2014,” will do just that. The program will feature encore presentations of the best-attended and most-talked about training programs on board governance and student achievement. Presenters will deliver programs such as:

  • Aligning Your Board Committee Structure to Your Strategic Plan
  • Next Steps for NJ: Implementation and Integration Impact on Assessment
  • Student Achievement and Collective Bargaining
  • The Four C’s and High Performing School Boards
  • The Board President’s Role

The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Princeton Marriott. See the “Upcoming Meetings” section of NJSBA’s website.
